With the office lights off this space does a great job in capturing the dream land. Soft colors, pleasant mood and amorphous shapes create a graphic which promotes sleep. Again, one of those times were art makes the statement not logos and Icons.
Please note the white is printed on the same film which is mounted on the interior surface (#2). Many clients would have used plotted white vinyl and installed this on the outside surface (#1). Look at how sharp the letters are within the print.
Client has a manager’s office which was exposed to the public areas. Like most office of busy retail clients the office was cluttered with paperwork.
The client originally considered either sand blasting the glass or installing a frosted film of some kind. With the white painted walls this would have created a sterile, utilitarian environment. Good for a hospital but lousy for a retail space.
Marketing colors were expanded and the design stretched to cover the glass entirely. The client’s art team did a great job providing a print ready, at actual size art file.
The HDClear art team was approved to build 3 different samples of HDClear 1, HDClear 2 and HDClear 4.
In this case, there was so much white in the corridor and interior office space that HDClear 1 left a washed out image and difficult to read. HDClear 4 was also a poor option in that it was too bold and left the interior of the office space dark. Additionally the manager on duty would not be able to see employees and clients walking by – which is important when phone calls and confidential conversations are taking place. HDClear 2 was the clear winner.
This process enhances the inks and lets the image remain readable even in bright conditions. It is also possible to see shapes move by opposite the print which helps the occupant identify person’s opposite the privacy print. HDClear also allows for light penetration so the interior office is not dependent on overhead lights. Should the power ever go out the manager can safely leave the space as ambient light ‘glows’ through HDClear prints.
