The faster, more efficient way to create custom printed frost graphics for glass
For anyone unfamiliar with creating frosted glass graphics, it can be a long, complicated process! At HDClear, we specialise in achieving what other companies cannot, and an example of that would be a recent project we completed in San Diego for IT company, Procede Software.
The company approached us to create a “mug coming out of the freezer” frost made up of a number of lines, reducing in size. Traditionally this would have been completed with plotting, but when reviewed by the tinter it was calculated that no less than 18 panels of glass – a nightmare for plotting! Although it was possible with plotted film, it would take so long for the weeding, masking transferring, peeling and doctoring that it would take days!
That is where HDClear helped!
Using only 18 printed pieces in place of 180 pieces of floating film, not only did using HDFrost save time, resource and effort – it saved a lot of stress!
It was so easy to apply! The glass was cleaned, HDFrost was sent with a 1” bleed to the right and where the bottom and left edge of the film was set against the panel, the right edge was cut to fit.
What a difference HDClear makes! With plotted film, 1 panel would have taken around 30 minutes to finish, with HDFrost, each panel was finished in less than 10 minutes!
