The barcode pattern shown here meets the paint code provided by the client. As you can see the blue background glows but the printed barcodes are color stable. With lesser prints, a blue tone might have passed through but HDClear 4 provides a solid true color, which is exactly what the client wanted.

HDClear 4 custom printed film with fantastic results on the 60″ tall backlit glass panels. The film was installed on the ground, then the glass was mounted within the 2-story light box.  Because the film is on the #2 surface (inside the box) the glaziers were able to use lift and cups to mount glass safely.

Often times our clients need a glass design to match existing paint. In this case the film is clear and the barcodes are printed to be opaque with the remainder of the film clear. The glass was blue and we are unsure as to what process was used to create this.

After the project the client asked if we could have printed translucent blue with the opaque barcode. We assured him we could easily do this. Printed film is much less expensive to produce and install than customized glass panels.

Another advantage to film is how easy it is to respond to job requirements. With the GT Patterns the client needed to double the order of film. The scope in work increased and we were able to produce in short order.

And again! The glass broke during construction and the client needed two more pieces quickly. One of the issues is that the glass was mounted high up on a wall. This meant special equipment like boom lifts were needed to install. HDClear production team was able to reprint the HDClear 4 GT Pattern and ship it quickly. The client installed the film and the glass was mounted in short order.

Many end-users are using HDClear on standard glass rather than ordering customized glass. This means shorter production time frames. It is simpler to orders sized glass to be installed with custom film. It is also safer because glass with film on it breaks less and holds together better should breakage occur.

• Client approved a color swatch showing 4 colors which most closely matched the paint code.
• We provided a pattern swatch to show client we can meet the exacting design.
• Each glass wall was three pieces of glass. When client requested 2 more pieces because of broken glass, we actually sent three. The project marrying to existing install was more important and we felt sending the third piece showed our commitment not to the film sale but to the project completion. Our job is over not with film shipment but with happy end-users. Happy end-users happen at the end of a project when GC, Glazer, Film Installer and HDClear care to provide the best service.
